new method appeared yesterday just enables you to hack into any computer and seize information and data in it

All your selfies may be the next attacking point for hackers, as a new report reveals that DSLR cameras are not exempt from ransom attacks whether they are connected over WiFi or on your computer.  Ransomware is a type of malicious attack by hackers in order to get some money from the information of their victims. This new study, conducted by researchers at Check Point Software Technologies, describes in a video how hackers can use the image transfer protocol (PTP) vulnerability.  According to the source , this protocol lacks authentication because it allows the execution of thousands of complex commands, as well as allowing the use of a Wi-Fi and / or USB connection to perform a ransomware attack on the device.

To perform this test, the researchers used a Canon camera E0S 80D, because Canon is the largest producer of digital SLR cameras in the market, and this Alnmoz
c provides compatibility with USB connections and WiFi.
This report explains that hackers can use an infected Wi-Fi access point to remotely deploy a ransomware virus and initiate an attack or take advantage of this bridge to infect a user's computer without realizing it.
As explained below by researcher Eyal Etkin, he explains how the Canon camera and Wi-Fi network can be used to encrypt images on the SD card and prevent the user from accessing them until they pay for the ransom.
Finally, the researchers stated that these are not the only cameras that may have this vulnerability, so they ask users to be careful and keep their cameras updated.
